2022 Education Forum for UCP Candidates

For those of us interested in education, the United Conservative Party’s (UCP) leadership race is the most important event of the decade. The winner will be Premier – and stands a better than average chance of remaining Premier for the rest of the decade. That leader can defend parental rights – if Albertans make it clear that they are important.

You have a chance to make sure that the UCP leadership candidates are aware of how important education – and parental choice – issues are. Parents for Choice in Education is hosting an online forum for them on Thursday, August 4th, at 6 PM. If you preregister by Tuesday August 2nd at 9 PM, you may be able to ask a question towards the end of the debate.

It is sometimes said that showing up is half the battle – and that is certainly true here. Your presence as a viewer helps the leadership candidates see how important parental choice issues are. Numbers matter – and your attendance sends a strong message. Ask your friends and family to attend as well!

You will also be able to send questions to candidates for direct response after the forum – if you have a good exchange, we can share it on our website.

If you are interested in voting for the UCP leader, you can purchase a membership on their website. Deadline to be able to vote in the leadership race is Friday August 12, 2022.

We hope to have a good debate, and we think you will be pleased with our questions. Please remember to preregister, and help us by forwarding this email to all your friends!

Hope to see you there!
